The United National and Chernobyl is maintained by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The website is part of the overall UNDP efforts to raise awareness about the many challenges facing the region affected by Chernobyl. It offers a view of the results of cooperation between the United
Nations and other leading non-profit and international organizations,
and provides knowledge and resources that support the Chernobyl
development community.
The website offers:

What is UNDP?
UNDP is the UN’s global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. It is on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. In 2004 UNDP assumed from UN OCHA the UN-wide coordination on Chernobyl issues and now UNDP Administrator is also the UN Coordinator of International Cooperation on Chernobyl. UNDP has a number of responsibilities including strategy formulation and promotion of resources mobilization, advocacy and channeling donors’ contributions to assist Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine to overcome the consequences of the Chernobyl accident.
